Kamala Harris’s Last Stand
If you are unaware, Kamala Harris’s Democratic presidential run is in dire straits. Her poll numbers are near the bottom of the list, and internal infighting within her campaign team has become public. The reason… She has a horrible track record as California’s Attorney General for arresting Black mothers whose children were truant; her refusal to prosecute police departments rife with corruption, and her attempt to keep inmates locked up to serve as cheap labor.
Moreover, she has offered nothing tangible for the Black community while pledging economic support to other groups. She is effectively Obama 2.0
Harris is now pandering to Black women in a last-ditch effort to rally support. Her camp feels that Black women are the weak link in the community. Divide and conquer. However, this strategy is unlikely to bear fruit, as many of the policies Harris implemented in California adversely affected Black women and their children. Additionally, the Black community is on-code in a way we haven’t seen since the ’60s.
